Barb counsels public and privately held businesses particularly medical device and biotechnology companies in organizing new ventures and raising capital through public and private financings. She also facilitates product development, handles licensing and distribution arrangements, and negotiates mergers and acquisitions. Barb has represented several companies through initial public offerings and continues to counsel public companies about their 1934 Act SEC reporting obligations.She has completed numerous M&A transactions in a variety of structures, including private and public mergers, acquisitions of assets and tender offers.Barb routinely represents manufacturers in drafting and negotiating license and supply agreements. Her experience covers various industries, with particular emphasis on the life sciences, including medical device and biotechnology companies. She chairs the firm’s Life Sciences group.She also represents Lindquist & Vennum within TAGLaw, an international network of over 150 independent law firms in 100 countries, and serves on the TAGLaw Advisory Board.Barb's community involvement has included a five-year tenure on the board of directors for the Hope Chest for Breast Cancer Foundation, an organization dedicated to fighting breast cancer and serving people affected by it. |
