Barba has served as a corporate and industry leader in RFID for Intermec, as vice president of industry relations, and also for Micron, as director of regulatory, standards and corporate communications. She is the former chairman and convener of the ANSI and ISO standards subcommittees authorized to establish the air-interface protocols for RFID at all frequencies for the automatic identification and data capture (AIDC) industry. In October, 2000, Hickman was honored by the National Committee for Information Technology Standards (NCITS) for her contributions to the worldwide advancement of RFID for AIDC. Barba moved to Colorado in 2000 and became vice president of corporate and industry relations for StorageTek. In 2004, she founded Applied Clarity, Inc., a technology-focused consulting firm that creates market leadership positions and expands market potential for companies entering emerging high-tech industries. |
