Ballard Rogers joined Middleton Reutlinger in September 2001 to complement the firm’s expanding litigation practice. Mr. Rogers has experience in commercial litigation, insurance defense, insurance coverage and products liability cases. Mr. Rogers has also handled appellate cases and argued criminal appeals before both the U.S. Sixth Circuit and U.S. Seventh Circuit Courts of Appeals. Mr. Rogers previously worked for a large international law firm in Chicago and gained experience working on complex litigation cases. These cases included defending a major tobacco manufacturer in lawsuits brought by asbestos trust funds, the states and the federal government. He served as a member of the legal team that represented the principal defendant in the Chicago Flood Litigation in their insurance coverage dispute.After graduating from Duke and receiving his law degree from Washington University in St. Louis, Mr. Rogers worked under the Honorable Boyce F. Martin of the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Rogers moved to Chicago in 1994 and joined a mid-sized firm practicing in commercial litigation and insurance defense. Mr. Rogers moved to a large Chicago-based international law firm in 1996, where he remained before returning to Louisville and joining Middleton Reutlinger. |
