Description of Practice:
Baldwin J. Lee heads Allen Matkins' Employment and Labor Law Group in San Francisco. His trial and litigation experience includes wage and hour class actions, discrimination claims, and theft of trade secret matters. He also regularly advises employers regarding anti-harassment training, national and California-wide wage and hour liability audits, discipline and termination, response to government investigations, and compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
Mr. Lee regularly speaks and writes on employment law issues. He is a co-author of International Labor & Employment Laws (Bureau of National Affairs), contributing a chapter on Taiwan.
Mr. Lee is consulted as an employment expert by the media, including being quoted by the New York Times, CNBC/CNET, and the San Francisco Business Journal. He also serves as a guest lecturer regarding employment law issues at San Francisco State University.
Mr. Lee is fluent in Mandarin Chinese, and worked in Asia as a journalist before becoming an attorney. As a member of the Asian American Bar Association of the Greater Bay Area, Mr. Lee has previously served as co-chair of the Education Committee.
Educational History:
Mr. Lee earned his undergraduate degree from Stanford University and his law degree from the University of Chicago Law School. After graduating from law school, he clerked for U.S. District Judge Ginger Berrigan. |
