Possessing more than 25 years of investing, lending, marketing and management experience, Mr. Barnard was Managing Director of Caltius Capital Management, where he managed the San Francisco office and was responsible for nationwide marketing and transaction origination prior to joining Wood Warren. From 1996 though 1999, he was Senior Vice President of Allied Capital Corporation, where he headed marketing and business development activities in the Western United States. From 1980 to 1996, Mr. Barnard served as Chairman, CEO and President of First Capital Corporation, a company he founded in 1980 that became one of the most active small business lending institutions in the nation. He served on the Advisory Council of the San Francisco Federal Reserve Bank from 1993 through 1999, as its Vice Chairman in 1996 and as its Chairman from 1997 through 1999. He is Past-President of the San Francisco Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) and served on the Board of Directors of ACG-Global. He serves on the board of directors of TS Restaurants of Hawaii and California. Mr. Barnard received a B.A. from Stanford University. |
