Dr. Bellahsene became Thermage’s Vice President of Research and Development in September 2005. He began his career at Thermage in October 2001 as Director of Hardware Systems. In August 2004, he was promoted to Senior Director of Hardware Systems, a role he earned as a result of his leadership and extensive knowledge of Thermage's technology. He has over 15 years of technical experience and management in the medical device industry, both domestically and internationally. Prior to Thermage, Dr. Bellahsene held the role of Engineering Manager at Somnus Medical. Prior to Somnus, Dr. Bellahsene held various engineering and project management positions with companies such as Stryker Endoscopy, BCI International and Polysens, based in Florence Italy. Dr. Bellahsene holds a BS in physics from the University of Sciences & Technology in Algiers, a MS in electrical engineering from the University of Wisconsin and a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering from the University of Virginia. |
