Mr. Rankin has served as Vice Chairman of the Board of McMoRan Exploration Co. and Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc. since January 2001. Presently, Mr. Rankin is a private investor and provides consulting services to both companies through FM Services Company. He was a co-founder of McMoRan Oil & Gas Co. in 1969 with J.R. Moffett and W.K. McWilliams. He has served on the board since 1994. |
