Law Practice Ayana Brooks is an Associate of Meyer, Suozzi, English & Klein, P.C.’s Labor and Employment Law departments. She joined the firm in 2005. Education Ms. Brooks graduated from Howard University School of Law in May 2004. While there, she served as the Associate Editor of the Howard Scroll: The Social Justice Law Review and was a Merit Scholar. She also studied abroad at the University of Western Cape in South Africa taking classes in International Human Rights Law and International Business Transactions. While in South Africa, she was an intern for the Judicial Inspectorate of Prisons where she researched constitutional rights to primary health care for the development of new policy, supported the integration of plea-bargaining into the legal system and reviewed prisoner complaints for legal services. Also during law school, Ms. Brooks served as a legal intern for the NFL Players Association in Washington, DC. Prior to studying law, she received a degree in Foreign Service from Georgetown University. Additionally, Ms. Brooks is proficient in Spanish.Admissions Ms. Brooks passed the New York State Bar examination in July 2004 and was admitted in July 2005. |
