Dr. Aurelius Prochazka is a Principal Scientist at Cool Earth Solar. In this role, Dr. Prochazka brings a unique combination of scientific research and commercial application development to Cool Earth Solar. Previously, Dr. Prochazka co-founded two successful internet application development companies: Creative Internet Design, in 1995, and ArsDigita Corporation in 1998. At ArsDigita, Dr. Prochazka was VP of Operations and ran the Los Angeles office, generating revenue at the rate of several million dollars per year. Dr. Prochazka co-authored the best-selling book "RailsSpace: Building a Social Networking Website with Ruby on Rails" and has taught "Software Engineering For Web Applications" at the California Institute of Technology and the University of California Los Angeles. At Caltech, Dr. Prochazka's Master's project was an analysis of the aerodynamic stability of the F-117A Stealth Fighter and his Ph.D. thesis was entitled "Nonsymmetric Stability of Non-axisymmetric Burgers Vortex". Prior to graduate school, Dr. Prochazka attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, earning Magna Cum Laude in Aeronautics. At both RPI and Caltech, Dr. Prochazka minored in Economics.
