August has been programming and producing games, websites and CD-ROMs for corporate and entertainment clients for the past 15 years. A filmmaker turned programmer, August graduated from the Department of Media Study at SUNY Buffalo in 1993. He also attended the Art Institute of Chicago for two years. His accolades include selection as one of the AV Video/Multimedia Producer Top 100 producers of 1997, as well as a Silver Award from ID Magazine's Interactive Design Review 1998 for his interface design and programming work on the BetelMedia 1998 Demo CD-ROM. As Technical Director, August is responsible for overseeing technical strategy and execution. He directs strategic planning on all technology issues and solutions analysis, in addition to managing technical staff in effective and timely delivery on client requirements. August's game work at Black Hammer includes lead development on the most recent Dora and Diego downloadable games for Nickelodeon, the Nightshift Code game for Playfirst, as well as all of the more recent I SPY games (I SPY Mystery, I SPY Spooky Deluxe, and I SPY Fantasy). August was also the lead developer on the client application for the Scholastic Readabout educational project. August's web work at Black Hammer includes lead development on Be-Fearless, the Flexjet Trip Request Application, Longman Writer's Warehouse and a web based media retrieval application for the Performing Arts Library at Lincoln Center. August also developed a CMS system in Java using Apache Struts that was used to create several small sites, including the Beth Israel Painline web site. |
