Dr. Dimas (M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, 1988, MIT; M.Sc. in Ocean Engineering, 1988, MIT; Ph.D. in Fluid Mechanics, 1991,MIT) has been a research scientist with Vorcat since 2001. He has more than ten years of experience in the R\&D in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) for a wide range of fluid mechanics problems: application of vortex methods on turbulent flows, free-surface / shear-flow interactions, stratified flows, boundary layer and attachment line transitional/turbulent flows, wake/jet instabilities, instabilities of particle-laden mixing layers, and blood flow loads on intracranial saccular aneurysms. He has authored and co-authored more than thirty papers and technical reports, and |
