Asim R. Piracha, M.D., is a corneal specialist who performs cataract, refractive and corneal surgery at the John-Kenyon American Eye Institute.
A graduate of the West Virginia School of Medicine with top honors, he completed his internship and began a highly-specialized residency at the University of Kentucky, where he was selected by his peers as chief resident in ophthalmology.
He then was chosen to participate in one of the most prestigious corneal and refractive surgery fellowship programs in the United States at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis where he earned the honor of Fellow in Cornea, Refractive, External Diseases and Anterior Segment Surgery. His expertise in these areas is unsurpassed and he is frequently invited to give lectures to his peers in various cities across the country
Dr. Piracha is a member of the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Ophthalmology, as well as being a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons and the International Society of Refractive Surgery. |
