Ash Patel is currently Chief Product Officer at Yahoo! He is responsible for global product strategy and development identifying future product trends and emerging technologies and serves as an advocate for users across the Yahoo! network. He reports directly to COO Dan Rosensweig.
Since starting at Yahoo! in 1996 Patel has played a key role in architecting and enhancing MyYahoo! Yahoo! Finance Yahoo! Messenger Yahoo! Chat and many other products that continue to impact millions of Yahoo! users. In 2001 he became SVP of platform engineering where he was responsible for Yahoo!'s Communications Products core platforms and infrastructure.
Prior to joining the company Patel was a principle member of the technical staff at Oracle Corporation and before that held a number of software engineer and development positions at technology companies in Silicon Valley and London.
Patel holds a Bachelor of Science with honors in Computer Science from the Kings College University of London. |
