Asa Reaves is a senior associate in the Cerritos office of Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo. Mr. Reaves represents California public school districts and county offices of education in all aspects of school law. His areas of expertise include student discipline, employee layoffs, reassignments, labor negotiations and personnel selection. Prior to joining Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo, Mr. Reaves was the Urban Executive and Counsel for the Employer/Employee Division of the Association of the California School Administrators (ACSA). During his ten plus years as Urban Executive, Mr. Reaves had the opportunity to visit every urban district in California and exchange ideas and information with many of the teachers, administrators and superintendents within the districts. Mr. Reaves frequently lectures and speaks on a wide range of issues affecting California public schools. Mr. Reaves is also a contributor to The Legal Handbook for California School Administrators, a desk-top reference guide for public school administrators. |
