Art Hartinger is a principal in the firm and serves as chair of the Meyers Nave labor and employment group. Art's practice includes complex state and federal litigation, including FLSA, Title VII, FEHA, ADA and wrongful discharge matters, writs, injunctions, appeals, arbitrations and administrative hearings, as well as labor relations and collective bargaining, counseling and training. Actively practicing labor and employment law since 1985, Art served as a deputy city attorney under San Francisco city attorney Louise Renne for nine years on the City's labor team, representing the San Francisco Civil Service Commission, mayor's office, Employee Relations Division, War Memorial and Performing Arts Center, PUC, port, health and police departments. A recognized authority on the Fair Labor Standards Act, Art has represented clients such as the National League of Cities, the National Association of Counties, the International Personnel Management Association, the National Public Labor Relations Association and the Government Finance Officers Association on FLSA issues.Art earned his law degree at the University of San Francisco School of Law in 1985, where he served as the managing editor of the Law Review. He received his undergraduate degree, in Economics and Philosophy, from the University of California, Berkeley. |
