Arthur Block has served as Senior Vice President General Counsel and Secretary of Comcast Board since 2000. He oversees Comcast’s legal functions concentrating on mergers and acquisitions financing and other legal transactional affairs. Mr. Block has been with Comcast since 1989 and throughout this time he has been the lead in-house attorney in Comcast’s acquisitions of AT&T Broadband Jones Intercable and Suburban Cable QVC E! Entertainment Television the Philadelphia Flyers and the Philadelphia 76ers.
Prior to Comcast Mr. Block was a partner for 11 years in the Corporate Department of Wolf Block Schorr and Solis-Cohen. Block currently serves on the Board of Managers of Moore College of Art and Design and the Site Board of City Year Greater Philadelphia.
Mr. Block received his B.S. in economics from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School in 1975 and his J.D. in 1978 from the University of Michigan Law School. A lifelong Philadelphian Mr. Block lives in Elkins Park with his wife daughter Marissa and son Alexander. |
