Mr. Bellis is a private investor and property developer in Bellis Enterprises of New York City, New York and Aspen, Colorado. He is the founder and CEO of Margate Video Systems, and later became Chairman of Boca Bancorp. He is presently Vice Chairman of Gold Jets. Mr. Bellis has been an active volunteer with United Way for over 15 years. He served first as Chairman of the United Way Campaign, then as Chairman of the Board of United Way of Palm Beach County. Mr. Bellis joined the Board of United Way International in 1994, and served as Chairman from 1998 to 2000. He now serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of United Way International. Mr. Bellis is currently a member of the Executive Committee of Aspen Center for Integrative Health. He also served on the Executive Committee of Advanta Corporation for 30 years. Mr. Bellis has two daughters; Jennifer, currently living and working in Palm Beach County Florida, and Carly, who practices law in New York City. |
