Art Boylan has a diverse practice that includes general business litigation matters and complex litigation. He has represented clients in cases involving contract-based claims, business torts, consumer fraud, deceptive trade practices, and securities claims. In addition to numerous smaller matters, Art gained extensive experience defending a large financial institution in five different class actions. He has made presentations relating to litigation strategies and to the Rules of Civil Procedure. In 2008, Art was named one of just 25 individuals recognized as "Up & Coming Attorneys" by Minnesota Lawyer.

Defended Texas corporation in Federal Court in lawsuit alleging breach of
contract and fraud. Obtained dismissal of lawsuit.
Defended international manufacturer and importer in Federal Court in
lawsuit alleging contract claims and violations of Minnesota statutes.
After filing motion to dismiss, negotiated settlement for less than 7
percent of Plaintiff’s original demand.
Defended large financial institution in numerous lawsuits alleging
violations of the state consumer protection statutes, unfair competition
laws, deceptive trade practices and fraud.
In two separate plaintiff’s cases, represented a national mortgage lender and
an individual commodities investor. In both instances, settlement was
reached on terms favorable to client without filing a complaint. |
