Dr. Papier is the founder of the Company and coordinates product research and design. He is an Associate Professor in Dermatology and Medical Informatics at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry and an Affiliate, Healthy Skin Consortia, Center for Future Health, University of Rochester.A dermatology and medical informatics expert, the research of Dr. Papier focuses on the development and study of real-time reference systems for physicians and consumers concentrating on visually rich knowledge areas. He recently was awarded a $2 million grant from the NIH to create a standardized lexicon for the field of dermatology. The goal of the project is to create and codify a comprehensive dermatology terminology set that will facilitate improved clinical and research communication and the future development of computer-based information tools.A graduate of Wesleyan University, Dr. Papier completed his premed studies at Columbia University, received his MD from the University of Vermont College of Medicine, and completed his graduate medical training at the Berkshire Medical Center and the University of Rochester Medical Center. |
