Arnaud Lagardère has been a member of the Supervisory Board of DaimlerChrysler AG since 2005. Arnaud Lagardère, born in 1961, has been the General Partner and the Chief Executive Officer of Lagardère S.C.A. since 2003. He also is Chairman of the board of directors of the European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company (EADS NV) and of EADS Participations BV. Arnaud Lagardère graduated from the University of Paris-Dauphine and was successively Deputy-Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the bank ARJIL, then in charge of the emerging activities and electronic Medias of Matra, then Managing Director of Lagardère (SAS). In 1994, he became the Chief Executive Officer of Grolier Inc. in the US. Arnaud Lagardère has also been Chief Executive Officer of Lagardère Média (the media division of Lagardère S.C.A.) since 1999 and President of Lagardère Active (audiovisual branch of Lagardère Média), President and Chief Executive Officer of Lagardère Active Broadcast since 2001, President of Lagardere Active Broadband and President of Lagardère Capital & Management since 2003. Arnaud Lagardère also is Chairman of the Jean-Luc Lagardère Foundation and President of the Friends of Paris Jean-Bouin C.A.S.G. Association.
