Arlene R. Alves, Counsel to Seward & Kissel LLP, is a member of the Firm’s Bankruptcy/Restructuring Group. She joined the Firm in 1997.
Ms. Alves provides bankruptcy advice to corporate trustees, secured and unsecured creditors and Chapter 11 debtors in major Chapter 11 reorganizations and various default and workout situations. Ms. Alves has worked in a wide variety of structured finance transactions involving servicer defaults and has represented numerous corporate trustees, servicers and investors.
Ms. Alves received a B.A. degree with honors from the University of Hawaii in 1978, an M.B.A. degree from the University of Hawaii in 1982 and a J.D. degree from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1984, where she was a member of the law review. She is a member of the American Bar Association and the American Bankruptcy Institute.
Ms. Alves is a member of the state bars of California and New York and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern District of New York. |
