Ari L. Bessendorf is an associate in the Global Project Finance Group of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP. While at Milbank, he has represented both financing parties and developers in transactions involving wind, solar, geothermal, hydropower, nuclear and conventional hydrocarbon electricity generation projects, electricity transmission projects, municipal waste projects, highway and port infrastructure projects, coal gasification facilities, onshore LNG terminals, and offshore LNG drilling platforms. Mr. Bessendorf has worked on multinational transactions for projects in Brazil, Mexico and Laos, involving German, Japanese, English, Brazilian, Thai and Chinese counterparties. His other areas of expertise include energy efficiency, municipal power, renewable portfolio standards, and public transportation policy.
Prior to working at Milbank, Mr. Bessendorf was an associate at Minuteman Wind and McCauley Lyman, LLC. He also interned for Cape Wind Associates and the Massachusetts Electric Facilities Siting Board. He has contributed to several books on renewable power project development and published extensively on environmental and economic policy. Mr. Bessendorf is a member of the Massachusetts, New York, and California bars. He is a graduate of Northeastern University and Suffolk University Law School. |
