Ari S. Casper has a trial-intensive practice. As a former prosecutor, he has extensive experience trying large complex cases. His current practice focuses on the following areas:
Clients who have suffered traumatic brain injuries caused by accidents or medical negligence;
Clients who are relators or whistleblowers in qui tam actions involving healthcare fraud;
Clients involved in large complex commercial disputes; and
Clients who are targets, subjects, or witnesses in Grand Jury proceedings, SEC matters, and Congressional hearings.
Mr. Casper has lectured in various litigation practice courses and teaches trial practice as an adjunct professor at the Georgetown University Law Center. He also serves as a trial consultant for Fortune 500 companies in largescale multi-district litigation matters.
Prior to joining Stein, Mitchell and Mezines as a partner, Mr. Casper practiced in the litigation group at Hogan & Hartson LLP in Baltimore, where he represented, among other clients, pharmaceutical companies in criminal and civil investigations, and professional sports organizations and corporate clients in complex civil litigation matters. He served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Alan M. Wilner of Maryland’s highest appellate court and intern to the Honorable Andre M. Davis of the United States District Court. Mr. Casper graduated first in his law school class, and was a member of the Law Review.
Mr. Casper is admitted to practice in Maryland State and Federal courts, the District of Columbia, and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, and is a member of the Maryland and District of Columbia Association of Trial Lawyers. |
