Anurag Lal, Chief Business Development and Sales Officer at iPass, manages global sales, including direct and channel sales; and business development, including mergers and acquisitions, strategic alliances, investment and partnership activities.
In seven years at iPass Anurag has held executive positions in sales, marketing and business development. He has been instrumental in the company's evolution from a global ISP to an enterprise services company, developing partnerships with dozens of leading wireless and fixed line carriers, and creating the world's largest Wi-Fi roaming footprint. In addition, Anurag has developed technology partnerships with industry leaders to ensure iPass services remain enterprise-ready, and led the execution of iPass' device management and fixed broadband acquisitions.
Before joining iPass, Anurag was Vice President of Internet and Multimedia Services for BT Worldwide, where he had profit and loss responsibility for the company's international ISP, IP backbone and Web hosting business. He served as Vice President of Data and Internet Services at e.spire Communications, Inc (formerly ACSI), where he established and managed the Data and Internet Division, and led the development and launch of the industry's first integrated voice, data and Internet service offering for the SMB market. Anurag also served as Group Manager of Multimedia Application Services at Sprint International Communications Corporation.
Anurag holds a B.A. in Economics from Delhi University and a post-graduate diploma in systems management from the National Institute of Information Technology in New Delhi. |
