Antony A. Casagrande is Of Counsel in Carmody & Torrance’s Business Services Group, where he practices municipal, corporate, real estate and construction law. He represents several municipalities in various facets of municipal and government law, including construction and federal community development block grant program contracts.

Notable Experience
Over 20 years of experience in municipal law
Served as Corporation Counsel to the City of Waterbury and, as the chief legal advisor for that municipal corporation, directed representation of the city in all civil actions and appeals litigated before state and federal courts and administrative agencies. Worked with the Connecticut General Assembly regarding Special Act legislation, and advised the Mayor and all boards, commissions, departments and public officials associated with the city
Has represented several Connecticut municipalities as to construction and other matters
Represented a major Connecticut city in a complex judicial mediation of a multi-million dollar claim stemming from its sale of tax liens
Serves as project counsel to a major Connecticut city’s non-profit economic development agency in its capacity as the city’s community development agency
