Born on 11.22.1935. Secondary school. He started his career in Banco Bradesco S.A. in May 1952. He held all positions of the hierarchical scale of a bank. In September 1975 he was elected as Associate Officer in April 1979 as Executive Officer in June 1981 as Executive Vice President and in March 1999 as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors position currently held. He is the Chaiman of the Board of Directors of Bradesco Securities Inc.; Vice-Chairman of Banco Bradesco Luxembourg S.A. and of Bradesco Leasing S.A. Arrendamento Mercantil; Executive Vice-President of NCF Participações S.A. Nova Cidade de Deus Participações S.A. and of Top Club Bradesco Segurança Educação e Assistência Social; and Manager of Bradport S.G.P.S. Sociedade Unipessoal Lda. He is also Vice-Chairman of the Managing Body and Vice-CEO of Fundação Bradesco and Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors and Vice CEO of the Foundation Institute for Digestive System and Nutrition Diseases (FIMADEN). Besides these activities he is the Chaiman of the Deliberative Board of the Brazilian Association of Leasing Companies (ABEL) in which he previously hold the position of Executive Vice-President; Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bradespar S.A. and Member of the Brazilian Section of the Brazil-United States Trading Board. He was Substitute Member of the Appeals Council of the National Financial System a body connected with the Ministry of Finance as representative of the Brazilian Association of Leasing Companies (ABEL) from July 1989 to July 1991 and from February 2000 to February 2002; he was Chairman of the Credit Guarantor Fund (FGC) from January 2002 to January 2005; Vice Chairman of the Executive Board of the Latin American Federation of Leasing (Felalease) from August 2003 to October 2005; and President of the National Union of Leasing Operations from September 1988 to April 2006; Vice President and Vice Chairman of the Board of Representatives of the National Confederation of the Financial System (CONSIF) from January 2004 to May 2007. He also held the position of President Vice President and Member of the Board of Representatives and of Vice President in the Financial Institutions National Confederation from September 1988 to March 2007. |
