Georgia Power named Anthony L. Wilson Vice President, Distribution in January 2007. Wilson began his career with Southern Company at Mississippi Power in 1984. He held various positions there including Manager, Meridian Region; Manager, Columbia Area; Assistant to the President; Assistant Plant Manager and Region Power Delivery Manager. On coming to Georgia Power, he served as Manager of Marketing Regulatory Affairs and, most recently, as General Manager, Distribution Engineering, Construction and Maintenance. He has been active in local and state boards including the Mississippi Economic Council, United Way, Boy Scouts and the American Cancer Society. He serves on the Advisory Board of the School of Engineering at Mississippi State University. He is also a graduate of Leadership Mississippi. Wilson holds professional memberships in IEEE and the National Society of Professional Engineers.
