Anthony Tu-Sekine is a member of the Firm’s Corporate Finance and Capital Markets Group and the Investment Management Group. Mr. Tu-Sekine has been practicing law since 1997. He joined Seward & Kissel LLP in 2002 and became Counsel in 2007.
Mr. Tu-Sekine has extensive experience in capital markets transactions, representing domestic and foreign issuers and underwriters in private placements and initial and secondary offerings in the United States and offshore. Mr. Tu-Sekine also has represented issuers and underwriters in filings with the NASD in connection with public offerings.
Mr. Tu-Sekine represents registered investment companies. He has advised several clients in the formation of business development companies and specializes in compliance issues arising under the Investment Company Act of 1940 and federal securities laws.
Mr. Tu-Sekine received a J.D. degree from Harvard Law School in 1997 and a B.A. degree, cum laude, from California State University, Fullerton. He is a member of the District of Columbia and Massachusetts Bar Associations. He is fluent in German.
Mr. Tu-Sekine has served as President of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of the Greater Washington, D.C. Area and as Secretary of the District of Columbia Bar. In 2006 Mr. Tu-Sekine prepared a presentation on Corporate Governance in the United States in connection with a program sponsored by the World Bank and the U.S. Department of Commerce. |
