Tony, a member of Brown Smith Wallace, co-leads the firms’ Risk Management Services practice. Major projects include IT Audit, Security, HIPAA implementation services and technology attest reviews such as AICPA SAS 70 reviews. He has helped both large and small healthcare providers, employer’s health plans, software companies and clearinghouses become compliant with HIPAA. Prior to joining the firm, he led Arthur Andersen’s St. Louis based risk consulting practice and led the Great Plains regional business systems audit practice. His specialty is bringing major company practices to small and medium-sized companies. In his 20+ year career, Tony has managed and audited the implementation and support of enterprise systems and processes including SAP, PeopleSoft, Lawson, JD Edwards and custom client/server systems. His previous employment experience includes several Fortune 500 companies, including Lucent Technologies, Kraft Foods and the Prudential Assurance Co. A representative sample of Tony’s past achievements includes: Led outsourced internal audit services for many St. Louis area based companies, including a multinational chemical company, a financial services company and a major retailer. Established the International IT Audit Group for Lucent Technologies, by setting up offices in Hilversum, The Netherlands, Singapore and Coral Gables for South America. Set up audit management for 15 Chinese joint ventures. Implemented Quality Assurance and Project Management Go-Live teams for Lucent Technologies’ SAP Global Enterprise System project, including establishing a Quality Gate Process for key project milestones. Tony studied statistics at the University of Wales Institute of Science and Technology and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree with a concentration in IT and accounting from the University of Phoenix.
