Mr. Fidaleo has more than 25 years of executive, accounting, finance and consulting experience, primarily serving middle market and emerging growth companies. Mr. Fidaleo joined iMedia as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President in December 2005 and was added to iMedia’s Board of Directors and assumed the Title of Chief Operating Officer in February 2007.
Prior to joining iMedia, Mr. Fidaleo served as the Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Finance for AdStar, Inc. (AdStar) from June 2002 to November 2005. AdStar is a publicly traded NASDAQ reporting Company (ADST) which at its peak was 32% owned by Tribune Corp. AdStar and its wholly owned subsidiary, Edgil Associates, Inc. (Edgil) provide technology services within the classified advertising industry through an integrated suite of applications that electronically connects publishers with the source of their advertising revenue, as well as fully integrated payment processing. AdStar’s products electronically process in excess of $400 million annually in classified advertising to major and mid-level media groups such as Tribune, Knight-Ridder and Gannet. Mr. Fidaleo was instrumental in structuring and securing a financing with Tribune Corp. to complete development of AdStar’s proprietary Flex Ad software to be used in conjunction with Tribune Newspapers joint venture partner Career Builder. Mr. Fidaleo was also integral in structuring, securing, financing, and integrating the acquisition of Edgil (the premier privately held electronic payment processing company serving 168 newspapers), which at the time of acquisition, virtually doubled AdStar’s revenues.
For five years prior to joining AdStar, Mr. Fidaleo served in a consulting capacity, often as an acting Chief Financial Officer or Vice President Controller, primarily servicing the technology sector with companies such as Autobytel, Inc., Hellonetwork, Inc. and L90, Inc. Between 1992 and 1997, Mr. Fidaleo served as Chief Financial Officer of privately held national companies American Dawn, Inc. and Vagabond Inns, Inc. Mr. Fidaleo was in public accounting from 1982 through 1992, primarily with BDO Seidman, LLP where he attained the level of audit senior manager. |
