Tony is a Managing Director of Empire Valuation Consultants, LLC. He has over 35 years of broad business valuation experience having spent nine years in the Investment Banking Division of Merrill Lynch & Co., nine years as the Director of the Corporate Finance Department of the Chase Manhattan Bank, N.A., another six years as Senior Vice President of Standard Research Consultants and twelve years as a Managing Director and a Principal In-Charge of Benchmark Valuation Consultants and the New York Appraisal and Valuation Group of KPMG Peat Marwick LLP. Tony holds both A.B. and J.D. degrees from Harvard University as well as an M.B.A. from Columbia University. He is a member of the New York State Bar, the Association for Corporate Growth, and a Certified Management Consultant of the Institute of Management Consultants. Tony has had a full range of corporate finance experience including merger / acquisition / divestiture activities, restructuring and reorganization studies, private placement financing and structuring, the preparation of fairness opinions and the valuation of corporate securities, partnership interests and intangible assets. Most recently, Tony has been involved with numerous valuations of cross-border business interests in Europe, Latin America and Asia. Tony has lectured extensively on corporate finance and business valuations. He has written numerous articles on valuations for such publications as the Harvard Business Review, the National Law Journal, Nation’s Business, Management Review, the Financial Times of London and World Business Weekly. He has also written chapters for the Corporate Controller’s Handbook and the Money Encyclopedia. He taught a course in Investment Banking for many years at New York University where he was an adjunct professor. He is a director of Sun Capital Advisors, a New York Stock Exchange company. Tony is listed in Who’s Who in America. Tony has appeared as an expert witness in business valuation in New York, New Jersey, California and Tennessee courts. |
