Ansley Moses concentrates his practice on corporate, tax and securities issues. He advises clients on corporate and tax issues arising in the context of business acquisitions, including the recent $100 million sale of a public company restaurant chain, the $200 million acquisition of a major consumer product and numerous smaller acquisitions including the recent sale of a regional cleaning supply company and the acquisition of an assisted living care center. He provides corporate and securities law advice on disclosure issues and regulatory compliance for public company clients. Mr. Moses provides advice on structuring ownership and operations for numerous start-up companies and new ventures of existing businesses including most recently a telecommunications equipment manufacturer, a movie theater developer, and a variety of hedge and other investment funds. He provides tax counsel to numerous public charities and private foundations regarding regulatory and compliance issues. He also represents individual and corporate clients in disputes with the Internal Revenue Service and state agencies on tax matters including audits, appeals, penalty and collection matters. Prior to joining Miller & Martin, Mr. Moses practiced from 1988 to 1990 with the Washington, D.C., law firm of Miller & Chevalier, specializing in tax planning and disputes. In 1991, he served as the Law Clerk to the Honorable Jack T. Camp, U.S. District Judge for the Northern District of Georgia.
