A member of the firm, Annmarie Simeone concentrates her practice on labor & employment litigation, breach of contract actions and business torts.
She has a wide range of experience in labor & employment litigation in both federal and state courts, primarily defending management in discrimination and sexual harassment claims, wrongful discharge suits, and claims brought under the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination, Americans With Disabilities Act, and a multitude of other civil rights and anti-discrimination laws. In addition, Annmarie represents parties in breach of contract claims and in actions involving restrictive covenants and confidentiality agreements.
In a recent case, Annmarie helped in attaining two victories for the client prevailing on summary judgment, which resulted in the client being afforded coverage under a workers' compensation policy that the plaintiff insurance company sought to rescind, and prevailing on a motion to recover counsel fees and costs associated with the defense of the case.
Annmarie is also responsible for the supervision and handling of complex commercial litigation matters. She is extensively involved with motion practice, brief drafting, settlement negotiations, arbitrations and mediations. She also has been chiefly responsible for several non-jury trials, and has been an integral member of various trial teams.
Annmarie is a member of the NMM Women’s Forum Major Events Planning Subcommittee, which plans one large charitable event per year.
