Anne Nobles became vice president of compliance and enterprise risk management and chief compliance officer in June 2007. She is a member of the corporate operations committee and the senior management council. She had been the vice president of corporate affairs since June 2003.
Nobles received a bachelor’s degree summa cum laude in anthropology from Harvard College in 1978. She received a master’s degree in anthropology from Harvard University in 1979 and a doctor of laws degree magna cum laude from Georgetown University in 1984 where she served as an editor of the Georgetown Law Journal.
Nobles joined Lilly in 1990 as manager of public affairs. In 1992 she was manager of medical and regulatory affairs. She was promoted to director of public policy planning and development in 1994 and in 1998 was promoted to lead the business-to-business organization in Lilly’s U.S. affiliate (LillyUSA). In November 1999 she was named the Strattera product team leader.
Prior to joining Lilly Nobles was an attorney at the law firm of Bose McKinney &Evans LLP Indianapolis. She has held several positions for the state of Indiana including securities commissioner and executive assistant to the governor for fiscal policy. She has served on a number of state and local commissions and not-for-profit boards including being appointed as the first chairwomen of the Indiana Commission for Women and past chair of the advisory board of the Salvation Army of Indiana.
Nobles is a member of the board of directors of the National Urban League Citizens Gas & Coke Utility the Women’s Leadership Board of Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government and a member of the Committee of 200. |
