Anne (Polly) G. Plimpton is counsel in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in the Firm’s Boston office. Polly is a member of the Firm’s Corporate Department with more than 25 years of experience advising public companies, venture capitalists and other investors and investment banks. She concentrates her practice on insider trading and reporting under Section 16, executive compensation and other proxy disclosure, corporate governance, board and committee structure, institutional investor initiatives, private financings, resales of restricted securities, and regulation of underwriting compensation and IPO allocation practices.
Polly is currently chair of the Employee Benefits, Executive Compensation and Section 16 Subcommittee of the Federal Regulation of Securities Committee of the American Bar Association. She is also a member of the Society of Corporate Secretaries & Governance Professionals (formerly known as the American Society of Corporate Secretaries).
Polly frequently writes and speaks about securities law and corporate governance. She is the author of the chapter about disclosure of related party transactions in The Practical Guide to SEC Proxy and Compensation Rules published by Aspen Law & Business.
Polly is admitted to practice in Massachusetts.
