Anna-Maria Gonzalez Palmer is vice president of human resources for AAI Corporation. In her position, Ms. Palmer leads all human resources activities for the corporation, reporting to the president and chief executive officer.
Before joining AAI in July 2005, Ms. Palmer was director of human relations for both the Food Service and Flavor divisions of McCormick & Co., Inc., where she was responsible for leading a variety of human resources initiatives, including organizational design and workforce effectiveness.
During her 15 years with McCormick, Ms. Palmer served in a series of increasingly responsible positions within the Human Relations group, including director of corporate sourcing, retention, and organizational development. Her career also includes extensive experience in recruiting, hiring, compensation, performance management, employee relations, organizational development, succession planning, and recognition programs.
Ms. Palmer earned a master’s degree in administrative science in 1990 from The Johns Hopkins University, and a bachelor of science degree in journalism in 1984 from West Virginia University. In addition, she is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources Management.
She is an active board member of several community organizations, including the Mercy Health Center Women’s Advisory Board, the Red Cross of Central Maryland, and the Archdiocese of Baltimore.
