As Chairman of Knight, Ann Knight has carried on the professional standards that her husband and founder Eddy Knight, worked to achieve. "People make a difference" is a belief that Ann and Eddy shared. This is evident by their commitment to higher education opportunities for all employees and their families. Ann continues the tuition assistance program for the children of all Knight employees that she and Eddy began many years ago. Ann is a native of Shreveport, Louisiana, and married Eddy Knight, founder of Knight Oil Tools, in 1955. In 1972, Eddy and Ann started Knight Specialties, Inc. in Morgan City, Louisiana, and in 1974, they moved their company headquarters to Lafayette, La. This move initiated what has now become the largest privately held rental and fishing services provider in the oil & gas industry today. Ann Knight has not only served the needs of the company but also serves the needs of her community in several aspects. Ann has served on the leadership boards for The Arts Council, Acadiana Symphony, Women's League, St. Mary Parish Catholic Church and the Avec Souci Service Organization. She is a member of the St. Mary Church Choir, the Society of Petroleum Engineers Ladies Auxiliary, the Knights of the Holy Sepulchre and the Republican Club of Lafayette.
