Ann Botticelli spent 22 years in journalism most of it here in Hawai‘i. She has worked at the
Honolulu Advertiser and television stations KHON and KITV. As a news reporter for
KHON-TV she covered state and city government and consumer issues. While at KITV from
1996 to mid-2002, Ann was weekend anchor and producer and reporter of The Money
Report, a three-minute business segment in the 6 p.m. weekday newscast.
Most recently, Botticelli was vice president of communications for Child and Family Service
(CFS), charged with raising public awareness of the organization’s mission, programs and
impact on the community. On board since September 2004, Botticelli was also responsible
for overseeing internal communications and fundraising. From 2002 to 2004, Botticelli was
vice president, corporate group, at Communications Pacific, a public relations consulting
firm, where she managed a 7-person corporate public relations staff and provided crisis
communications counsel to clients in banking, education, ocean transportation, utilities,
tourism and retail.
Botticelli oversees the Community Relations & Communications Group, which handles internal and external communications, including public relations, advertising, web design and development, government relations, publishing and community relations for the organization statewide. |
