As Vice President of Financial Analysis, Ann Toole is responsible for the activities of GUARD’s Corporate Analysis Unit which provides the organization’s management team with the data needed to make informed decisions, plan corporate strategy, and allocate resources in the most effective possible manner. Specifically, she supervises the Technical Analysis Unit which provides high-level analytical support to executive, home office, and field office management teams as well as various internal working groups. She is also in charge of Home Office Claims and Underwriting. For claims, Ann ensures that management implements administrative and processing procedures that reflect the dual goals of facilitating quality care and a rapid return to work while containing costs. Within underwriting, appropriate guidelines for acceptable business are identified and daily processes established to reflect those criteria. Ann oversees the State Filings Unit as well, which files and administers rates, submits applications for licenses, and ensures regulatory compliance managing the efforts of both outside consultants and experienced, in-house expertise to perform this role. |
