Anita Contini is Senior Vice President and Director of Corporate and Public Affairs. She is responsible for designing and implementing CIT's community and public affairs activities both externally and internally. Contini works closely with the Executive Committee and key business leaders to bring CIT's core vision mission and principles to life through the development and implementation of programs with civic cultural and government groups that strengthen CIT's commitment and involvement in the markets it serves.

Prior to joining CIT Contini served as Vice President and Director of the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation. In this role she worked closely with the Chairman and President of LMDC and key Board members to develop a process and implementation plan for the Memorial Cultural and Civic Programs for the World Trade Center site and Lower Manhattan. Later she served as a First Vice President of Global Sponsorships and Client Events Marketing at Merrill Lynch where she forged partnerships for the firm with leading local and international cultural and civic institutions and public projects and instituted programs to further business objectives and community interests.
Contini serves as Vice Chair of the Board of the Alliance for the Arts and on the boards of The Mayor’s Fund to Advance New York City The Estate Project for Artists with AIDS and The Drawing Center. She is an active member of the Financial Women's Association; Art Table; American Institute of Architects (AIA) New York Chapter; and the LMDC's Cultural and Community Enhancements Fund grant program. She was the founder and President of the not-for-profit and award-winning arts organization Creative Time and has received a number of awards for distinguished public service from the Municipal Arts Society; Hofstra University; AIA New York Chapter; and the Downtown Lower Manhattan Business Association.
