Anita Charuworn is a Research Analyst in Regional Studies at the Institute. Her projects involve estimating the intergenerational impacts of health improvements on state-level productivity, as well as compiling the State Technology and Science Index. Charuworn received her Ph.D. in economics from the University of California, Irvine, and a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of California, Los Angeles. Her research examines the distribution impact of public policies on health outcomes, and how intellectual property rights protection drives innovation within pharmaceuticals. Prior to joining the Institute, she worked as a business consultant, advising clients on ways to develop competitive pricing strategies in a global marketplace. |
