Anita Gentle Newcomb's experience spans over two decades in the financial services industry as a CEO, investment banker and strategic consultant. She has built a national reputation in advising some of the country’s most successful regional and community banks on a wide ange of strategies including retail sales delivery, business line diversification, valuing and structuring acquisitions, geographic expansion, and organizational realignment. She is a noted expert on strategic planning. Anita was formerly president, CEO and board member of ACB Business Partners, the for-profit subsidiary of America’s Community Bankers. She has spent 15 years in investment banking and strategic consulting with four national firms: president and founder, A.G. Newcomb & Co.; managing director with Professional Bank Services, Inc.; senior vice president with The Secura Group; and vice president of BEI Golembe. Earlier in her career, Anita was vice president of strategic planning/senior mergers and acquisitions specialist, Security Pacific Corporation, Los Angeles, at that time the fourth-largest bank in the country, and investor relations officer and corporate secretary with Cullen/Frost Bankers, Inc. Anita is Chairman of the Advisory Board of the College of Business of Auburn University. She received an MBA in finance with distinction from the University of Houston and a BS in accounting with honors from Auburn University, Auburn, Alabama. She is a certified public accountant. |
