Angus Edwards is the chairman of the firm’s Litigation Department and the leader of its Insurance/Tort practice group. He has received the highest possible peer review, an AV rating, from the Martindale-Hubbell rating service. He specializes in the defense of retail stores, pharmacies, construction contractors, manufacturers, property managers, insurance agents and in employment litigation. He has defended cases with claims for wrongful death, civil rights violations, pharmacy malpractice, products liability, and personal injuries. He regularly advises insurers in underwriting decisions and coverage disputes. He has defended copyright infringement and Lanham Act claims on behalf of manufacturers and homebuilders. Angus has been lead trial counsel in the defense of numerous state and federal jury trials, including jury trials in eight different counties in the state of Utah. He was included in Utah Business Magazine's 2008 Legal Elite for business litigation.
Angus Edwards was born in Arlington, Virginia, on March 17, 1960. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Utah with a B.S. degree in Political Science in 1981. In 1985 he received a J.D. from the University of Utah College of Law. He has been a member of the Utah State Bar since 1985 and is admitted to practice before all state courts in Utah and the United States District for the District of Utah and the United States Court of Appeals, Tenth Circuit. |
