With a solid clinical and health care management background, Ms. Lillehei oversees ongoing content and medical product development for the company. She began her career as a clinical nurse and through educational achievements and career advancements, today her health care experience consists of consulting with various health care organizations and serving in senior management for a large health plan.
Prior to joining Sage HMS, Ms. Lillehei was a health care consultant with the School of Public Health, University of Minnesota/ National Institute of Health Policy Project; National Marrow Donor Program and Hennepin County Community Health Services Health Promotion. She also was the Interim Executive Director for The Healthy Seniors Project and Director of Medical Delivery Services for Share Health Plan HMO (now United HealthCare and Medica Health Plan). Ms. Lillehei has served in several industry and community leadership positions including as Vice Chair of Deva House, a pediatric hospice residence; President of the Metropolitan Visiting Nurse Association board; and Governing Council Board member of the Minnesota Public Health Association. She also is a contributing author to the professional journal article, Forecasting Changes in Physician Services per Capita in Minnesota Through 2030, Minnesota Physician, 2004. Her educational credentials include current work towards a Ph.D. in Nursing at the University of Minnesota, with an emphasis on scientific research and holistic healing. She has an M.A. in Public Health Administration and a B.S. in Nursing, both from the University of Minnesota. |
