Angela Hart is senior vice president, community relations, for Aflac. She joined Aflac in 1980 as a comptroller, southern division, for the former Aflac Broadcast Group. In 1991, Ms. Hart was appointed second vice president, risk management, and was subsequently promoted to vice president, corporate services. In January 1996, she was appointed vice president, assistant director of human resources, and in January 1997 she was appointed director. She was promoted to senior vice president in May 1998, and was appointed to her current position in August 2001.
Ms. Hart holds a bachelor's of business administration degree in accounting from Columbus State University and completed the Human Resources Executive Development program at Cornell University. She is a member of Leadership Columbus Alumni, Class of 1992. She serves as the Aflac representative on the boards of directors for the Community Foundation of the Chattahoochee Valley, Inc. and the United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley. Ms. Hart is also Chairwoman of the Board of Trustees of the Muscogee County Library Foundation. |
