Angie Durhman is the Green Roof Specialist for Magco, Inc., A Tecta America Company. Her primary responsibilities include managing green roof projects along the East Coast and supporting national green roof implementation. She holds a Masters Degree in Horticulture from Michigan State University , where she focused on green roof plant performance and environmental sustainability. Durhman received a Bachelor's of Science from North Carolina State University and has previous work experience in the biotechnology industry.Whereas most horticultural professionals do not seek employment with roofing companies, green roof technology requires both roofing experience and knowledge of living systems. Durhman is an active member of the Greening Rooftops for Healthy Cities Corporate and Research Committees, USGC-Baltimore Chapter Member, ASLA Affiliate Member, and participates in local green building events. |
