Graduated in Law. 1973- 978 employed in Eni as expert in analysis, evaluation and control of investments in the oil market. 1978-1984 works in Agip sector as Assistant of Agip S.p.A. Chief Executive Officer and as Assistant of Agip Nucleare S.p.A. Chairman for the study and analysis of the main problems regarding the international oil market. 1985-1988 appointed in Agip S.p.A. Head of the oil supply Unit. 1988-1992 appointed Head of the Report and Administrative Studies Unit of Eni S.p.A. 1992-1996 appointed Senior Vice President Planning and Control of Saipem S.p.A. 1996-1998 appointed Head of the Strategic Control and Upstream & Gas Development Unit of Eni S.p.A.. 1998-2001 appointed Head of the Industrial Planning and Control Unit of Eni S.p.A.. 2001-2002 appointed Deputy Chairman of Snamprogetti S.p.A., where he was appointed Director in September 1999. 2002-2003 appointed Chief Executive Officer for Market Activities of AgipPetroli S.p.A.. 2003-2004 appointed Deputy Chief Operating Officer of Eni S.p.A. Refining & Marketing Division for Marketing Operations, following the merger of AgipPetroli with Eni. April 2004 appointed Chief Operating Officer of Eni S.p.A. Refining & Marketing Division.
