Angelo Caridi was born in 1947 in Reggio Calabria.
He was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Snamprogetti in July 2005.
He graduated in civil engineering from the Politecnico of Turin.
He joined Snamprogetti in 1970 and he was the Manager of the Civil Engineering department in Rome from 1978 until 1984. After four years' experience as Manager of the Civil Engineering Division, he was appointed Manager of Environmental Impact Assessment Business Unit and, in 1990, Marketing Manager of Infrastructures Division in Italy.
In 1991 he became Director of the Rome engineering centre. He was then appointed Chairman and Managing Director of Aquater and Chairman of Cepav Uno Consortium, in1993. In 2001 he was also appointed Director of the Infrastructures Division.
He relinquished the above tasks in 2002, when he was appointed Managing Director of Snamprogetti.
He is non-executive director of Saipem S.p.A. a company listed on Borsa Italiana S.p.A. (the Italian Stock Exchange) since 2006.
Since August 2006, he is COO of Eni S.p.A. Refining & Marketing Division |
