Born in Jackson, Mississippi, Angie grew up in an accounting family and early on determined her direction in life. After graduation from McCluer Academy, she earned her accounting degree from Mississippi College and worked in her parents’ firm for several years until the firm was sold. Angie then joined the staff of a local church, working part-time while her children were young, as church secretary, financial secretary, and church treasurer. She also worked as a consultant for several other churches, setting up their computer and accounting systems. Returning to a full-time job, Angie became an auditor for the Mississippi State Tax Commission and was soon promoted to Senior Tax Auditor of the Individual Income Tax area. She then became Tax Specialist and Supervisor in the Petroleum Tax Division. Recognizing her outstanding accomplishments, in 1995 Angie was honored as Employee of the Year by the State Tax Commission. As a partner and valued member of GranthamPoole’s tax, medical, and retail/wholesale teams, Angie concentrates primarily in the areas of tax, state tax issues and employee benefit plans. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants, and is presently serving on the board of the American Society of Women Accountants. Angie is married to Cedric L. Cecil Fisher, and they have two sons, Jared and Mark. In her spare time, Angie enjoys time at home with her family, reading, traveling, and church activities. |
