As Vice President & General Counsel of MobiTV, Andy Missan is responsible for overseeing the legal affairs of the company, including the negotiation of content license agreements with television networks and distribution agreements with wireless carriers, management of the company’s intellectual property portfolio, and general corporate matters.
Missan brings over 18 years of legal experience to MobiTV in both venture-backed technology companies and major media and entertainment companies. Most recently, Missan served as Vice President & General Counsel to Danger, Inc., the developer of the T-Mobile Sidekick. In that role, Missan negotiated a variety of strategic contracts, including agreements with wireless carriers and electronics manufacturers. Prior to joining Danger, Missan was Vice President and General Counsel of ReplayTV, Inc., where he played a prominent role in negotiating strategic relationships with OEM partners and structuring numerous technology licensing deals. Missan has also held senior legal positions at WebTV Networks, Inc., the RCA Records Label, and Sony Music Entertainment Inc.
Missan holds a J.D. from the Northwestern University School of Law and a B.A. from Oberlin College.
